Mayor's Office releases audit findings

An audit of Metro Department of Public Education schools was released yesterday; it recommended comprehensive changes, including improving communication between schools, coordinating homework and lesson plans, and improving technology in the classroom.

The audit also cited several areas of commendation for the Metro Schools system, singling out the Pupil Assignment Plan resulting from a federal desegregation lawsuit, among other accomplishments.
