Metro Police say a medical issue may have caused the death of a Hendersonville man whose tractor-trailer ran off Interstate 24 near Old Hickory Boulevard early Tuesday morning.
Edward Cole, 68, of West Main Street, was driving a 2005 Peterbilt truck westbound on I-24 when he left the roadway near Old Hickory Boulevard at 1 a.m., police said. The vehicle stopped after rolling up a rock embankment. Polce said Cole did not appear to suffer serious injuries from the accident. Cole, who was wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.
There was no evidence of alcohol involvement or excessive speed at the scene, police said.
