A convicted sex offender was arrested in Bates County, Mo., on Tuesday after warrants charging him with rape were issued by the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Robert Lile, 55, of Topeka, Kan., is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl, whom he was managing as a singer. The two were in Nashville for a talent show when Lile allegedly pulled a knife and repeatedly sexually assaulted the girl on Saturday night and Sunday.

Lile left Nashville at around noon on Sunday and left the girl behind in a Division Street hotel.

Bates County Sheriff Department deputies located Lile at a relative’s home and took him into custody. He is expected to be back in Nashville in a few days.

According to police, the victim met Lile at a talent show last July. Lile was convicted in Kansas of kidnapping, rape and aggravated sodomy of a high school girl in 1983.

Why can we not simply hang him and move on?

Oh--I forgot--liberals want him to have a free lawyer, free health care, free decades of appeals, and warm gourmet food in jail.

Where was the girl's mother during all of this?

I agree--why would ANYONE allow their 14 year old daughter go to another city with a "talent" agent?

What do politics have to do with this you idiot? This man should be run over by a metro bus and thrown in the Cumberland River.

Zip tie his wrists to the bumper of a truck and set the cruise control on 5mph for a few hours.
