Metro police charge Kansas man with rape of teen girl in Nashville

A convicted sex offender was arrested in Bates County, Mo., on Tuesday after warrants charging him with rape were issued by the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Robert Lile, 55, of Topeka, Kan., is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl, whom he was managing as a singer. The two were in Nashville for a talent show when Lile allegedly pulled a knife and repeatedly sexually assaulted the girl on Saturday night and Sunday.

Lile left Nashville at around noon on Sunday and left the girl behind in a Division Street hotel.

Bates County Sheriff Department deputies located Lile at a relative’s home and took him into custody. He is expected to be back in Nashville in a few days.

According to police, the victim met Lile at a talent show last July. Lile was convicted in Kansas of kidnapping, rape and aggravated sodomy of a high school girl in 1983.

Oh--I forgot--liberals want him to have a free lawyer, free health care, free decades of appeals, and warm gourmet food in jail.
