The Metro Nashville Police Department is seeking to identify a gunman who has committed several early morning armed robberies in South Nashville.

The gunman attempted to hold up the Krispy Kreme at 408 Thompson Lane on Monday morning. The same person is also suspected in robberies at two gas stations and an attempted robbery at a gas station within the last week.

Police described the gunman as a black man, approximately 6 feet tall and 190 pounds. The man has worn a white cloth over his face and a black hat during all five of the robberies. In Monday morning’s attempted Krispy Kreme robbery, police believe he may have fled in a dark green four-door sedan with tinted windows.

Police urge anyone with information about the gunman to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Citizens can also send information via text message by sending a message with “CASH” to 274637 or by visiting here
