More than 2,000 NES customers lose power amid windy Thursday afternoon

At least a couple thousand Nashville Electric Service customers have experienced power outages Thursday as high winds blow through the area.

According to the online NES outage map, the number of customers without power has fluctuated between about 1,400 and nearly 3,000 Thursday afternoon.

Most of the reported outages appeared to involve 10 or fewer customers, and were centered within the downtown loop.
