NASCAR on exit ramp; New opportunity knocks

When the NASCAR Cafe opened on Lower Broadway three years ago, it was heralded as the third in our crown jewel of eateries, joining the veterans Hard Rock Cafe and Planet Hollywood. Nashville was bedazzled by our sophisticated new theme restaurants. They helped anchor a revitalized downtown and added to the notion that Nashville is now on the national map.

And the restaurants were fun. They were loaded down with memorabilia and neon. The food, if not gourmet, was good enough to lure office workers and celebrity parties alike. Kids, in particular, loved the racecar games at NASCAR Cafe.
