Nashville under a flood warning

The Nashville office of the National Weather Service has placed Davidson County under a flood warning for Friday, as showers and thunderstorms are pelting the area.

For the day, some storms may be severe in the afternoon. Expect highs in the lower 70s, with winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour. Gusts could reach 40 m.p.h.

Friday night, an 80 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms are expected, with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms after midnight. The low should be about 50.

On Saturday, the forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers. Expect a cool day, with highs in the upper 50s. There is a 30 percent chance of rain.
