Neel expects $150 million budget shortfall

State Finance Commissioner Warren Neel is expected to present the 2001-2002 state budget to the Senate Finance Committee Tuesday, a budget that may reach $19 billion.

The current fiscal year budget is $18.5 billion, including federal funds, pass-through money and fees (students paying tuition to state universities, for instance).
