The Metro Department of Health is launching a new web site July 1, which will provide uninsured Davidson County residents with information to help find a primary health care clinic at a price they can afford.

The site, called Bridges to Care, can be found at

The Bridges to Care program will provide listings for primary health care, specialty care, dental care, mental health services, prescription medicines and alcohol and drug treatment.

“Our new Web site will make it quick and easy for uninsured persons to register with Bridges to Care and find a 'medical home' where they can get high quality care,” Health Department Director of Health Access Fonda Harris said. “More people are without health insurance than ever before. It is critical that they continue to have access to a regular source of health care even though they are now uninsured.”
