Local students to be honored
50 area high school students will be recognized for their achievements and awarded a $500 scholarship from the InterMedia company. at a 6 p.m. reception today at the Regal Maxwell House Hotel, 2025 Metro Center Blvd.
This scholarship program is in its third year and is designed to help students pursue their higher education goals.

Community forum to be held today
Bethlehem Centers of Nashville will host a North Nashville meeting for residents of that area from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Galilee Missionary Baptist Chruch, at 2021 Herman Street.
The forum is open to residents, business and civic leaders and will address ideas and needs for the community.
Special Olympics motorcycle ride
Riders with the Frank Wycheck Harley Ride will arrive at an afternoon celebration Saturday at the Adelphia Coliseum, 1 Titans Way.
The ride will begin at 1 p.m. at the Cool Springs Harley-Davidson, on Galleria Boulevard. A party will follow the ride at the Coliseum.
Registration for the ride begins at 9 a.m. or can be done via Internet, www.midtennhog.com. Tickets for the party will be sold at the door.
Proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics organization.
