A 21-year-old German tourist now faces two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor for allegedly taking photographs of a 10-year-old boy in a bathroom at Opry Mills Mall.

Gerrit Frank Greiert is scheduled to appear in court Thursday following his arrest Sunday night in a public restroom near the mall’s food court.

The boy’s father told Metro police that he saw Greiert hold a cellphone over the stall his son was in and took pictures. The man than held Greiert, took the tourist’s cell phone and called police.

Detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department’s Sex Crimes Unit said they found images on Greiert’s phone of another child in a different bathroom setting, this one believed to be in Mississippi.

The investigation continues while Greiert remains in jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Metro police said Greiert is visiting the U.S. with his family and was set to return to Germany this Friday.  They have been touring southern states and recently checked into a local motel.

It's time to teach this scumbag what the U. S. Legal system is about. He'll get his due in jail if he doesn't post bail.
