Police charged Jose Lemanuel Hall, 19, with criminal homicide Wednesday following last month’s disappearance of his ex-girlfriend, 18-year-old Kendrya Davis.

Information from witnesses in the murder investigation led Metro police homicide detectives to believe Hall may have made incriminating statements regarding Davis’ death.

Davis’ mother reported her daughter missing March 30, two days after last seeing her. Sgt. Pat Postiglione and Det. Chad Holman discovered her body on April 3 inside a vacant home at 1104 Cass Street, within eyesight of Hall’s current girlfriend’s residence, according to a release from Metro police.

Police said Davis suffered from multiple gunshot and stab wounds as well as blunt force trauma, and that Hall tried to cover up evidence.

Davis’s family told police she and Hall fought near the Metro Transit Authority's downtown bus station. She returned home with a blackened eye, before leaving again to meet with Hall.

Hall turned himself in at police headquarters on April 3 after failure to appear in court on a trespassing charge.

GUARDIAN-All women should be trained, get their permit and carry a handgun to be able to protect themselves. If you think anything different then you don't believe in women's rights, you don't want women to be safe and you don't believe they should be able to protect themselves. OR you are a criminal who beats, rapes and murders women. How say you.

GUARDIAN- I forgot the two other things you could be if you didn't think that women should be able to protect themselves. A moron or afraid of a women not allowing you to abuse them.
