Metro Police say a tip to Crime Stoppers led to the arrest Wednesday afternoon of the man suspected of vandalizing the federal courthouse on Broadway.

Connell Beasley, 31, is facing charges for allegedly throwing objects through two glass doors earlier this month.

Wilson County Sheriff’s deputies took Beasley into custody without incident at his mother’s Mt. Juliet home.

Beasley is charged federally with willful destruction of federal property.

He has previous convictions for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and vandalism, police said.
