Metro Police say alcohol and speed appear to be contributing factors in a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning in the 400 block of Franklin Limestone Road that claimed the life of Ancelmo Crispin-Herrera, 21, of Murfreesboro Pike.
Crispin-Herrera was the front seat passenger in a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by his cousin, Miguel Crispin-Reyes, 19, police said.
Police say the car left the roadway, became airborne, and landed upside down at 5:45 a.m.
Crispin-Reyes, of Murfreesboro Pike, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he is in stable condition.
Fatal Crash officers anticipate charging Crispin-Reyes with vehicular homicide upon his release from the hospital.
