The 4-year-old who died of an accidental drowning on Sunday afternoon while playing at an apartment complex pool at 900 Glastonbury Road has been identified as Andrew Sabry.
According to a release from Metro police, Sabry was at a playground with his 12-year-old brother when he wandered of to the pool by himself, just after 4 p.m. The child reportedly entered the pool where he began to struggle and went under water.
Others at the pool pulled him out of the water around 4:10 p.m. and tried to revive him. He was transported to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital where he died Monday morning.
