Metro Police Department South Precinct detectives said Tuesday they have identified Dawn Renee Pickle as the burglar who allegedly used an axe to break into two Nashville liquor stores in late October.
Pickle, 39, has been arrested in Louisville on three Nashville burglary warrants, and the extradition process is underway.
Police have charged Pickle with the Oct. 27 burglary of Hickory Hollow Wines & Liquors (she was unable to get into the store), the Nov. 4 burglary of the Dollar General Store on Hobson Pike and the Nov. 6 burglary of Liquor World on Mt. View Road.
Surveillance video shows the suspect using an axe to smash the front glass of the businesses to gain entry. Select liquor was taken from Liquor World, while cat food and cat litter were taken from the Dollar General Store.
Detectives located the axe believed to have been used in the burglaries and the suspect’s alleged getaway van at the Nashville home of a Pickle relative.
Pickle is last known to have lived in the Priest Lake area, police said.
