Metro Police arrested Angel Manuel Rivera, 22, in connection to a fatal home invasion in Hermitage last week.
He was arrested in Nashville overnight on criminal homicide charges.
Police say witnesses identified him as the man who shot James L. Wade, 23, to death in a Hermitage Ridge home last week.
Rivera and three accomplices allegedly stormed Wade's 908 Hermitage Ridge home shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday and held Wade and three friends at gunpoint, police said. Two of the accomplices then began going through the house.
When Wade stood up to confront Rivera, who was armed with a pistol, he fired at Wade. He was hit in the upper body and died shortly after arriving at a hospital.
Efforts are continuing to identify the two men who arrived with Rivera, police said.
