Metro police are still working to identify the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car late Wednesday on Nolensville Road near Welshwood Drive.

Marvin Moore, 26, of Nashville, told police that he did not see the unidentified man as he attempted to cross the busy road near McDonald’s. The victim was accompanied by Rhonda Lewis, 51.

Lewis, of Meade Avenue, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with a head injury and officers have not yet been able to interview her.

Moore, who was driving his 1999 Chrysler Concorde southbound on Nolensville Pike, said he did not see the couple in the roadway. There was no evidence that Moore was impaired and charges are not expected to be filed against him.

Anyone with information concerning his identity is asked to call traffic section investigators at 862-7738.
