Metro police officer Benjamin Holman is recovering from injuries he sustained Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Lebanon Pike and Briley Parkway.
Holman, 28, was traveling westbound on Lebanon Pike at 7:20 a.m. in his unmarked patrol car when a Toyota Prius, driven by Kathryn Taylor, of McAlpine Avenue, struck his patrol car as she attempted to make a left turn onto Briley Parkway.
Taylor, 57, told police she did not see the oncoming vehicle. She was not injured in the collision.
Police said Holman, a three-year police department veteran, was recovering at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Monday night.
