Metro Police released this surveillance video footage from a business near Fifth Third Bank in Donelson.

Metro Police and the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the man who allegedly robbed the Fifth Third Bank branch at 525 Donelson Pike Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect allegedly approached the teller with a robbery demand note at 2:20 p.m., and the teller complied, police said.

He was wearing a dark ball cap with “R E 7 7” on the front, a white T-shirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and eyeglasses at the time of the robbery.

Police say the suspect fled in a green van.
