Police searching for gunman

Metro police tell News Channel 5 they are searching for a gunman after a man was shot about 1 a.m. Tuesday in East Nashville.

The victim was shot in the leg, but was able to make it back to his home at the Edgefield Manor Apartments on South Sixth Street. He was later taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in stable condition.

No, the gun committed the act on its own. The gun, and not the shooter, remains at large.
