Metro police are hoping the public can help them identify the man who robbed a Bellevue Regions Bank branch at gunpoint this afternoon.

The gunman, who was wearing white netting over his face, entered the 7608 Hwy. 70 S. branch just after 3 p.m., ordered everyone to the floor and demanded money from two tellers.

Surveillance video images show the man wearing a ball cap, sunglasses and a white long sleeve shirt or jacket, and blue jeans. Witnesses told police he looked to be in his mid 30s to 40, 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds.

After the tellers complied, the robber fled the bank.

Anyone recognizing the gunman from bank surveillance photos, or anyone having information about his direction of flight after the robbery, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
