Staff reports

Metro Police Department detectives are working to locate convicted felon Tracy Lynn Savage, 43, who has been identified as the man who allegedly has taken cartons of cigarettes from at least four separate convenience stores, including a cigarette-related robbery June 18 at Daily’s at 7354 Charlotte Pike in which he physically assaulted the clerk.

In addition to the previously mentioned robbery, warrants have been issued against Savage in the following thefts:

*  June 28 at Daily’s at 5621Franklin Pike

*   June 23 at Daily’s at 3863 Dickerson Pike

*   June 19 at Exxon at 4112 Hillsboro Pike

In each case, Savage allegedly entered the store, acted as if he were going to purchase cartons of cigarettes but instead grabbed them and ran out the door, police said.  In two of the incidents, he drove off in a white Dodge Caliber with a Nevada license plate. Savage dropped his wallet containing his driver’s license outside the Exxon on June 19.

At the time of these latest crimes, Savage was free on $70,000 bond for a January robbery in which he is accused of forcibly taking money from a family member in a Rivergate liquor store parking lot before allegedly attempting to run the victim over with his vehicle. Savage is now also being sought for failure to appear in court in the January case in which he is charged with robbery and reckless endangerment.

Savage has previous convictions for voluntary manslaughter, four counts of theft and aggravated burglary.

Anyone seeing Savage or knowing his whereabouts is urged to contact the Emergency Communications Center at 862-8600 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Citizens can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES) or online at www.nashvillecrimestoppers.com
