Police seek information in shooting death of Ricco Winston

Metro police detectives are seeking help for the public in identifying who is responsible for Wednesday evening’s shooting death of Ricco Winston.

Illegal drug activity may have led to the shooting. Winston was shot inside a friend’s car outside a Madison apartment complex shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to police. Winston, 32, of Lischey Avenue, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center but died during surgery.

North Precinct detectives urged anyone with information that could help identify the person or persons who killed Winston to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. 

Citizens can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES) or online atwww.nashvillecrimestoppers.com. Persons who contact Crime Stoppers by phone or text message can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.

My gosh, now many of these type shootings have we had this year? 3,000
officers on the street wouldn't affect these type events in spite of what
any organization would say otherwise!
