Police seek public's aid finding missing East Nashville man

Metro detectives want the public’s help locating an East Nashville man who has been missing since Wednesday, Feb. 2.

Richard Lee Owens, 59, was last seen pawning a guitar at an East Nashville pawnshop near his home on Eastland Avenue. Police said Owens’ family reported he had recently seemed depressed, and they’re concerned for his welfare.

Owens was last seen at the Cash America Pawn Shop at 801 Gallatin Avenue. His vehicle was found at his Eastland Avenue home.

Owens is described 5-feet-10-inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, and may have a mustache and beard.

Police urge anyone with information on Owens’ whereabouts to contact Det. Lee Freeman, the police department’s missing person coordinator, at 862-7366.
