Rally foiled, but Bellevue site under fire again

Bellevue neighbors who successfully worked to prevent a motorcycle rally from being held on a property off Newsom Station Road say a business operating there is violating zoning ordinances.

Tennessee Stone Products, which specializes in wholesale and retail building and landscape stone, uses the land to store and refine the stone products they sell at 626-C Old Hickory Blvd. in Bellevue. Larry Mashburn, co-owner of Tennessee Stone Products, declined to comment for this story on the advice of his attorney.

Councilman Bob Bogen said neighbors informed him of truckloads of rocks being delivered to the property. He said the neighbors are worried that Newsom Station Road and the bridge crossing Harpeth River were not designed to accommodate such heavy truckloads.
