Metro Council Education Committee members will learn next week about changes happening in public schools.

The committee members will hear from representatives of Teach for America, the Nashville Teaching Fellows, and the Tennessee Charter Schools Association. A representative of Mayor Karl Dean’s new Nashville After School Alliance (NASA) will also talk to the Council members.

The speakers will talk to Council members about “new initiatives” providing services at Metro Nashville Public Schools, according to a notice from Education Committee Chair Megan Barry.

The meeting is slated for Monday, May 18, at 5:30 p.m. at the Council Chamber.
