SEC superlatives: Prince is best

Florida and Kentucky wrapped up a wild season in the Southeastern Conference Sunday and fittingly created a tie for the regular season championship. In a year that saw more than its share of last-possession games and unprecedented parity, an injury-plagued team and one that started 3-5 overall tied for the conference title.

Here are some observations before the 12 schools descend upon Nashville for what promises to be four exciting days of hoops at the Gaylord Entertainment Center starting tomorrow.

Best Team: This is a true cop-out, but Florida and Kentucky are evenly matched and each accomplished some wonderful things over the last 12 games of the conference season. Florida closed the SEC season 11-1 and Kentucky finished 10-1, with each team losing on the other
