Mornhinweg takes over Lions

Matt Millen has made his first big hire as new general manager and president of the Detroit Lions, hiring San Francisco offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg as his head coach. The 38-year-old, who has never been a head coach before, reportedly reached terms on a five-year, $5 million contract. He has extensive experience operating the West Coast offense, having spent the last four years coordinating the 49ers
