State Supreme Court rejects open meetings suit appeal

A lawsuit aimed at forcing the Tennessee legislature to stop conducting secret meetings has hit another roadblock.

The Tennessee Supreme Court Monday denied an application that would have allowed a private citizen and several news organizations to appeal a lower court decision that ruled against the suit.
