Steam engine stays in Centennial Park

The Tennessee Central Railway Museum will have to fix the old steam engine in Centennial Park right where it is if it decides to restore the relic. The Metro Parks Board has denied a request for the museum to purchase or lease the steam engine.

The Museum wanted to restore the engine and house it at the Museum.

The locomotive was given to the city in 1953 by the Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railway.
