Police school resource officers arrested a 17-year-old senior Thursday morning for allegedly carrying a loaded gun at Stratford High School.
Ammunition discovered at the school Wednesday matched the .22 caliber revolver the student had concealed in his waistband, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
A review of surveillance video identified the suspect. The student told officers he found the gun.
Cetainly the gun committed this crime. In no way is Metro's future--a student--responsible for weapon in hand. Bad gun, bad gun, now go and sit in the corner. Ralph Thompson would go so far as to say we as a society are to blame, and not this innocent waif.
Just another reason we should take ALL guns away from law abiding people. If law abiding folks didn't make gun ownership appear legitimate, this young man would have chosen to take a squirt gun.
Courier, FYI...old Ralph isn't around to beat up any more...there's a new sheriff in town, Tony Majors. The kid who did this is a doofus. He knew darn well that it's against the law to take this gun to school...oh, wait...it was also an illegal gun. Oh, I guess he didn't know it was illegal to take an illegal gun to school. Man, I'm confused...
If teachers are allowed to have guns, why shouldn't students?
