Summer sports camps

MBA will be hosting a number of sports specialty and all-sport camps throughout the summer.

A baseball camp, for young men entering grades 1-8, will be held July 2-6. The camp will take place from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and the cost is $65.00.

Baseball camp for boys grades 3-12 will take place July 9-13 and another one July 16-20 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The cost for these camps is $200.

A football camp, for boys grades 1-7, is scheduled for July 25-27 from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. The cost is $75 (with pads) and $110 (with the use of the school's pads).

Riflery camps will be available June 25-29 and another one July 9-13 for coed, beginning shooters, ages 10-15. The camps will take place from 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. and will cost $75 each.

A soccer camp for young men entering grades 4-12 will be held July 9-13 from 9 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. for $75.

Coed tennis camps will be held July 9-13 and July 16-20 from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. for upcoming first-ninth grade students. The cost for each cam is $75.

Coed track and field camps will be held for rising 4th-8th graders. The fist session will be held July 9-13 and the second session will be held July 23-27 from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. The cost is $75 per session.

A Strength/Conditioning camp will be held for 8th-12th grade boys July 25-27 from 1 p.m. -2:30 p.m. for $45.

Wrestling camps will also be held July 2-6 for boys grades 1-8 from 2:30 p.m. - 3 p.m. for $65 and another one for upcoming 7-12th grade boys July 9-11 from 9 a.m. - 5:45 p.m. for $100

The all-sports camps will include a variety of different sports such as baseball, basketball, football, tennis, soccer, wrestling, t-ball, kick ball, battle ball and will include field trips.

Camps will be offered in a one-week session from June 11-15 ($150), two-week sessions from June 11-22 ($290) and three-week sessions from June 11-29 ($430).

The all-sports camp will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

A lacrosse league will run from June 11-July 26 for a 15 & under age group and a 15 & up age group.

Notre Dame offers Lacrosse Camp at Father Ryan

For the first time Father Ryan High School and the University of Notre Dame coaching staffs are offering a Lacrosse Camp at Father Ryan High School for boys ages 10 and older to be held July 13 - 15 on the campus of Father Ryan High School in Nashville.

Kevin Corrigan, head Coach of the Notre Dame lacrosse team (ranked number two in the country), will bring his entire staff as well as Jim Buszek, All-American mid-fielder and assistant coach at North Carolina, and Mike Caravana, four time All-American at UVA and head coach at Denison University, to teach fundamentals, technique, and strategy.

The camp will include four sessions of instruction, a reversible scrimmage jersey, lunch on Saturday, and game Sunday afternoon. Registration will be at noon on Friday, July 13, followed by the first session.

Brentwood Academy Basketball Camps

A Fundamentals Camp will be held June 18-21 and an Offensive Skills Camp will be held July 9-12 for girls ages 7-14.

The cost is $130 and will be held at Brentwood Academy's high school gym from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
