The new director for economic development in Sumner County says he will contact the Nashville Sounds to initiate talks in regard to the possibility of the team locating there in the future.

Pat Lyle is director of economic development for Sumner County, a newly created position in the county of approximately 130,000 residents nestled between Davidson County and the Kentucky border.

Lyle has been in Sumner County for about a month after previously spending 10 years in Wilson County, where he helped broker a deal that brought the Nashville Superspeedway to that county.
