Suspect in 2009 fatal shooting surrenders to police

Homicide suspect Quint Williams, 32, surrendered to police Saturday after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Williams is accused of shooting John Thomas Sullivan, 50, in the 2500 block of Booker Street in 2009. West Precinct investigators believe the shooting was drug-related.

Police swore out a warrant charging Williams with criminal homicide last month. Williams was previously arrested for unlawful weapon and drug possession charges.
