Suspect on the run after high-speed chase

Metro Police are looking for a man who led police on a high-speed chase in nouth Nashville early Monday morning.

Police say an officer attempted to stop the white Chevy van just after 1 a.m. when it was clocked going 95 mph in a 55 mph zone. The driver did not stop and instead lead police on a 20-minute chase.

The chase ended when the suspect drove down a steep embankment and crashed near Chatham Place Apartments on Air Park Drive.

Police saturated the area but were unable to locate the suspect. He is described as a white male in his late 20s to early 30s.
