Teens crash after two-county chase

Police tell News Channel 5 an Ashland City officer began pursing the teens around 2 a.m. on Highway 12 when they sped up from 58 mph to 71 upon seeing his patrol car.

Two officers tried to stop the 2005 Ford Focus, which police later determined had been reported stolen, but lost the car in East Nashville.

Metro Police picked up the pursuit and were finally able to apprehend the three teens when they crashed and baled at Granada Avenue and Gallatin Pike South.

The two males and one female were sent back to Ashland City to face charges
