The AAU basketball league Tennessee Thunder has more than proven hard work and dedication pay off as four of five teams have qualified for their respective AAU national tournaments.

The team of 14-year-olds will travel to tournament action in Orlando, Fla., and the 16-year-olds go to Detroit Monday. The 19-and-under team heads to Virginia Beach, Va., and the 17-year-olds go to Orlando in July for their competitions.

"We're very happy to have four out of five going," Hendren Merritt, executive vice president of Tennessee Thunder said. "I'm real excited about it. The 14 and the 17 [year-olds] went undefeated in the sub state and the 16 [year-olds] lost the very first game but won everything else, including the championship. So I'm real happy with the way they are playing, and I think we have a good chance
