A two-vehicle collision in the 9000 block of Highway 100 Thursday morning in west Davidson County claimed the life of a 32-year-old Bellevue woman.

Metro Police Department officials have identified the victim as Brittne M. Thomas, 32, of Sawyer Brown Road.

The collision involving Thomas' 2000 Honda Accord and a 2003 Hummer occurred at about 7:40 a.m., police said. The eastbound Honda was coming out of a curve when it crossed the double yellow line, entered the westbound lane of travel and collided with the Hummer, driven by Friday Burke, 44, of Franklin.

Burke was transported to Saint Thomas Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police said evidence at the scene suggests the Honda may have been traveling with a flat rear tire at the time of the crash.
