Victim of fatal wreck on Clarksville Pike Tuesday morning identified

James C. Hampton Jr., 33, of Old Hickory, died Tuesday afternoon after the car he was collided with a tractor-trailer truck on Clarksville Pike at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday.

According to police, the preliminary investigation indicates the tractor-trailer had just entered Clarksville Pike from Briley Parkway when Hampton’s Nissan Altima turned left in front of the truck.

The tractor-trailer driver, Justin H. Wilson, 25, of Olney, Ill., was not injured.
