Woman stabbed near Vanderbilt

Metro Police tell News Channel 5 a woman was stabbed near Vanderbilt after a scuffle of some kind inside Ken’s Japanese Restaurant.

The woman was apparently stabbed inside the restaurant around 4 a.m. Wednesday. Police say the woman may have been trying to steal cash from the restaurant.

She was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two people were taken into custody, but one was later released, according to police who said the suspect and victim knew each other.
