What do you think of the state audit's findings regarding John Arriola's office? Should the district attorney's office take action?

Easy boys.
I knew my ears were ringing today for some unknown reason.
Here's how it breaks down:
Waiters and Bartenders in Nashville make $2.20, HOURLY which is less than the MINIMUM wage at $7.75. The establishment charges us 8.0% of our gross receipts as "Tips".
Now, you may say that's LOW, because we're supposed to make 15% a ticket. Maybe 20%, but suprisingly, here in the south some "TIP" just 10%.
But, many vacationers, especially from England and Canada, (and minorities) DO NOT TIP. It's called "getting stiffed". I still have to declare 8.0% from their tab from a ZERO gain.
The IRS figured this formula out 25 years ago as being fair. Working in CA and HI, the tourists usually tipped 15% minimum. Except for those groups I mentioned. Depends how classy the place you worked was and how well heeled the clientel.
So, like Mitt Romney, I play by those rules.
ps; I haven't poured a drink since June of last year. I wish you guys would keep up, as BendO would say, "Have you nothing better to do?"
Shall I release my tax returns?

To be honest with you, if could ever think you could believe it, I wasn't listening too close to the news when I heard that dollar remark. I only heard the word "dollar" and the "$120,000 dollars" the man had made. I didn't hear the "forty" before the word "dollar".

I really thought 120,000 marriages was a hell of a lot in that length of time.

Not to belay your point however I remember my bar tendering and table waiting days. Things were quite different then. No drinking age at all. If you had the money you were old enough. Nobody filed tax returns nor was there even anything resembling inventory control. Take bottle of old dead crow bourbon and pour into Jack Daniels bottle make 500% profit. The weight of the tip in my hand equals the amount of booze in your glass.
I remember a sleazy joint that had a good sounding name I can't remember over on Sidco drive and I-65. I worked there one summer. We made more money pimping than selling drinks-there is a motel right next to it. It was all right out in the open no one cared. We even put up a red light on the porch. It was around 81 or 82 damn can't remember the name of that place.

The good ole days.
