Up for Debate: Boy Scouts affirm ban on gays

Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 12:41am

How do you feel about the Boy Scouts of America's affirmation on its ban against openly gay members? Is it a right, just and prudent decision, or should gays be allowed to join the organization?

I read somewhere that Ronald Reagan had a thing for chimpanzees.

John Wayne had a thing for horses.

Mitt Romney had a thing for elevators.

Charlton Heston thought he was Moses.

"Let my people go, you damn dirty ape!"

By: gdiafante on 7/18/12 at 10:22

Charlton Heston was Moses. His staff just happened to be a NRA sanctioned assault rifle...

By: slacker on 7/18/12 at 10:24

Charlton Heston's staff was made in Louisville Kentucky.

It's a madhouse...a madhouse!

John Wayne wasn't allowed to join the Boy Scouts, because his first name was Marion.

By: gdiafante on 7/18/12 at 10:29

And he walked funny...

Hummed show tunes...

He was always referring to "partners."

Chuck Norris had an intervention with the Gay Scouts of America. There were no survivors.

By: Captain Nemo on 7/18/12 at 10:35

The reason John Wayne walk the way he did, made it easier for him to step on Pilgrims.

A gay scout leader walks into a gay piano bar.. orders up a ''Tom and Jerry''...

By: Captain Nemo on 7/18/12 at 10:45

He was a double pianist?

By: BenDover on 7/18/12 at 10:46

Just like mom used to make.

A delivery woman comes to deliver some flowers to house. She arrives to find a man playing on a piano. The delivery woman asks him where she should place the flowers.

The man tells her to go ahead and place her tulips on his organ.

Beernazi,

Should I say he [was] not born as a natural born citizen or he [were] not born a natural born citizen? Take your pick and I'll decide which way I wanted to go.

Yes, "The Gay" is contagious.... geeeez

By: Beernazi on 7/18/12 at 11:18

yogi, do you seriously not know the answer to your question?

By: brrrrk on 7/18/12 at 11:21

The way I see it, anyone who thinks that being homosexual is a choice must have some homosexual or bisexual tendencies that places themselves in some sort of sexual dilemma. As for myself, to quote Andrew Dice Clay, "There's no way I'm going to look at another mans hairy ass and say to myself, 'I want me a piece of that' ".

Translation; this will fool them.

At school one day, the teacher was trying to approach the topic of sex education and asked her students if they'd ever seen anything that was related to sex education on TV.

Mary raised her hand and said she had seen a movie about women having babies. “Great,” said the teacher, “that's very important. ”

Then Judy raised her hand and told the teacher she had seen a TV show about people getting married. “Well, that has to do with it too,” said the teacher.

Then Johnny raised his hand and said he had seen a western where some Indians came riding over the hill and John Wayne shot them all. The teacher said, “Well, Johnny, that really doesn't have anything to do with sex education.”

“Yes it does,” said Johnny, ” it taught those Indians not to (substitute) yogi with John Wayne.”

As much as I did yesterday, slacker. ;-)

Fortunately my reputation was destroyed years ago..

By: Captain Nemo on 7/18/12 at 11:48

That is what is so charming about you slacker; you are humble and know it. lol

I got to go. Nice seeing you Blanket.

By: pswindle on 7/18/12 at 11:55

Why! We forget that "gay" are people , too. The Bible Belt needs to come around and be human.

By: yogiman on 7/18/12 at 12:23

Beernazi,

I'll have to admit, the education you received in your "not too long ago" schooling may possibly be more modern than the education I received as as child long before you was even thought of by your parents (that is, if they even knew each other at that time).

But the many rebuts I get on this site makes me laugh, because we all make typographical errors; don't we? At least all except, perhaps, you.

Let's face it, Beernazi, we all make mistakes. We depend on the computerized dictionary too much (that is, the ones who can normally spell correctly).

I understand all of you ridiculing me because of my concern about Barry Soetoro's theft of office. But I would think common sense would make all of you wonder just who in the hell he is.

To vote for, or accept, someone in the highest office in this nation whom you have no idea who in the hell he is makes me wonder: Are they fellow communist? Or perhaps fellow Muslims with Barry?

By the way, maybe you should check Sheriff Arpaio's findings.

By: yogiman on 7/18/12 at 12:28

Sorry, Beernazi, I should have said may not possibly "have been" more modern...

By: Beernazi on 7/18/12 at 12:31

yogi, poor grammar and typographical mistakes are not the same thing. It's laughable to read your posts considering how you believe you are so much smarter than everyone else when you can't even speak English properly. I have plenty of friends your age and they use correct grammar so there is nothing "modern" about my education. So, it is laughable to hear the continuous ranting of the blatantly uneducated.

By: Beernazi on 7/18/12 at 12:34

By the way, yogi - "before you WAS even thought of" is incorrect on a couple different levels. Can you spot the errors?

By: slacker on 7/18/12 at 12:39

yogi... as your attorney, I advise you not to answer that.

By: gdiafante on 7/18/12 at 12:54

To yogi, applying education to speaking or writing is modern. In his day it was just theory.

By: yogiman on 7/18/12 at 1:11

Speaking, reading and writing in perfection just ain't happening today, kids, unless it's a legal paper.

I would normally would find it odd to be the only one found to be making errors on this site.

The only reason I can find is you don't like me telling you about the man you screwed up and voted for as your president... which he can't be legally.

yogi, if you can't master grammar after 80 years I doubt you have stellar critical thinking skills. Your arguments make little to no sense and you repeat the same thing over and over, day after day. Why would anyone listen to you?

By: slacker on 7/18/12 at 1:17

Weiner pulls out.. wants to spend more time with his hand.

By: Beernazi on 7/18/12 at 1:18

I knew someone was going to catch that, slacker! lol

By: gdiafante on 7/18/12 at 1:28

I've never associated critical thinking skills with yogi. I'm not sure anyone else here has either.

Here are two interesting statistics.....

1)Over 50% of all new cases of AIDS are in the South.
2)A person in Mississippi is 50% more likely to die of AIDS than someone from New York.

Beernazi, and you, too, gdiafarte,

I hope neither of you "professionals" ever suffer a loss of half of your brain because of a tumor found in the middle of it like I did. And I hope you have enough brain left to someday understand what Barry Soetoro is/was doing to this nation since the day he usurped that office.

And If he can pull his martial law scam off by his demential conditions, you can kiss the USA goodbye. And I hope none of you on this site have any children, or grandchildren, if you're old enough because I don't think they would like to live in a communist nation. And you can bet your a$$ that is Soetoro's goal.

Nation wise, the next 111 days are going to be the most interesting political issues you have ever lived through.

By: dargent7 on 7/18/12 at 2:29

I cannot believe we've let a 85 year old, senile, dementia moron hijack this forum.
Who gives a shit what this ass**hole thinks about? At 85 years old?
My dad was brain dead at 80. Didn't know what year it was. Thought Trman was still President and "it was a good thing we killed those japs..."
And we all address this yogi idiot?
His, "Who is he"? Why is he our President"? is stuff Rod Serling woudn't touch for fear of being arrested.

By: yogiman on 7/18/12 at 2:31

Beernazi,

Your 1:14 post is interesting. You mentioned I keep repeating myself. I believe a little history would have taught you if you keep repeating yourself, eventually everyone will believe you know what you're talking about.

Gimme another 111 days and then I'll start telling you what Obama has done to you. (please note, I didn't say for you)

Strange.... I don't think that happens with anything you say. I still think you don't know your ass from a whole in the ground.
