What's your reaction to former President Bill Clinton's speech at the Democratic National Convention Wednesday evening — particularly his message that the country is better off now than four years ago?

"I'll take a lot of credit for the fact that this industry's come back." –Mitt Romney, –Mitt Romney, on the American auto industry, despite having written a New York Times op-ed in 2008 titled "Let Detroit Go Bankrupt," in which he said if GM, Ford and Chrysler got a government bailout "you can kiss the American automotive industry goodbye"

By: gdiafante on 9/6/12 at 8:45

Why would anyone think that someone can run a Republic like a buisiness? That's just plain stupid and would actually require a more active government.

I you wanted the opposite? What CEO takes a hands off approach to a business? The only ones I know that do that are ex-CEO's.

By: gdiafante on 9/6/12 at 8:46

s/h/b I thought

By: Blanketnazi2 on 9/6/12 at 8:46

The idiots who say that do not understand business nor do they understand government!

By: yogiman on 9/6/12 at 8:48

bfra,

I'm sure you and all of your fellow posters on this side would do their business operations quite differently than Romney. You know, spread it out all over the USA because it belongs to them.

Do you honestly believe none of the Democrats (or Republicans) have their money in foreign banks? Don't you believe they use they use their in house information to invest their money?

This is a must read!! The story of KB Toys is enough to make you cry

The way Mitt works is despicable!

Old yogi talks big behind a keyboard, but when faced with one on one he has no back bone or manhood.

yogi is a liar and a coward.

By: gdiafante on 9/6/12 at 9:01

Yogitard, how is "spreading the wealth" inconsistent with supply-side economics? Quick answer: it's not. The only difference is whether it's a top-down or bottom-up approach.

You think that the top 1% should spurn growth that will then spread to the rest of us.

Others think that the middle class spurns growth that then spreads to the rest of us.

It's not difficult to understand...well, maybe for you it is...

By: gdiafante on 9/6/12 at 9:04

s/h/b stirs, not spurn. Had a different post in mind for that.

By: Captain Nemo on 9/6/12 at 9:05

When I stop in Gordonsville I don't buy I leave a deposit in the name of yogi. I will give you another chance tomorrow yogi to show us something of what you are made of.

yogi is a liar in a coward.

By: Captain Nemo on 9/6/12 at 9:07

I to go now. yogi you can talk tough now I'm off line.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 9/6/12 at 9:11

g, yogi doesn't know enough to even keep up with the conversation. That's why he reverts to the "usurper" crap and name calling. He doesn't have the intellect to understand the issues and discuss them intelligently.

By: slacker on 9/6/12 at 9:13

Dang .. I was sure my railroad metaphor would sway some votes.
Guess we'll have to wait for the debates.

By: Loner on 9/6/12 at 9:13

Now that Rahm Emanuel is running the Democrat''s Super PAC, the mega-donors will be shelling out the big bucks for Obama....that's the game plan. Meanwhile, the Democratic platform calls for overturning Citizens United....but, in the interim, Rahm will be shaking down the tycoons, using CU.

Trouble is, a lot of the low-hanging fruit has already been picked by the GOP...Rahm is going to have to work hard to even the playing field.

I suspect tht the re-insertion of the Jerusalem-Jewish State language was at the urging of Rahm Emanuel....remember, his dad was an Israeli terrorist and he himself served with the IDF....Rahm knows how to milk the Jewish cash cow....right now, he's working those udders like there's no tomorrow.

Of course, a teacher's strike in Chicago could distract the Rahmrod from his duties at the Super PAC....there's an irony in there, IMO.....unions butting heads with a Democratic mayor for a change....interesting.

By: gdiafante on 9/6/12 at 9:14

No kidding, blanket. He probably needs to be de-programmed given all the absurd propaganda he reads/watches. It's cult-like.

I thought Clinton summed it up last night when he spoke of disagreeing without hating. The right hates Obama personally.

I saw some of this against Bush, but not on this level. Nothing at this level.

By: Loner on 9/6/12 at 9:15

Slack, your railroad metaphor went off the tracks? Or did we lose the train of thought?

By: slacker on 9/6/12 at 9:16

Loner, Rahm gonna bring some Chicago values to the Democrat's Super Pac.

By: yogiman on 9/6/12 at 9:17

I'll admit I don't have the same intelligence as you, Balnketnazi2. All I can say is: Thank God I wasn't born as a twin to that fool.

By: gdiafante on 9/6/12 at 9:19

Slack, a better analogy would be that since Romney can drive a car he thinks he can operate a train.

Well, maybe that's a bad one too...does Romney even know how to drive? I'll ask his limo driver...

By: slacker on 9/6/12 at 9:19

Loner.. sorry. I sometimes muddle my metaphors.
Switching back to coffee.

By: slacker on 9/6/12 at 9:21

yogi, take your lithium & metamucil cocktail, and go sit on the toilet.

By: bfra on 9/6/12 at 9:22

yogi - Again doesn't understand words, he said "glad he wasn't born", he really meant "hatched".

By: bfra on 9/6/12 at 9:24

yogi - All dodos are hatched!

By: bfra on 9/6/12 at 9:25

slacker - Either yogi is skipping his medication or it isn't working, maybe he should try something stronger.

By: Loner on 9/6/12 at 9:25

Willard knows how to drive...he packed his dog into a roof-top cage and drove across the country, right? Or did the hired help do all that? I heard that he hosed the fecal stained cage down at a car wash, then proceeded on the road trip....air-drying the hosed-down pooch.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 9/6/12 at 9:26

g, you've got people like Ted Nugent out there threating to harm people who support Obama. The nutcases have come out in droves!

By: gdiafante on 9/6/12 at 9:27

Not to mention Hank Jr...but he did fall on his head so maybe he actually has a brain disorder...

You're right Loner, forgot about the Clark Griswold moment for old Mitt...

By: slacker on 9/6/12 at 9:30

''Do you wanta ride on the roof Shamas?''
Shamas.. ruff..ruff

By: slacker on 9/6/12 at 9:35

Mitt gave his dog, the right to choose. No?

By: gdiafante on 9/6/12 at 9:39

I gave my dog the right to choose, Alpo or Old Roy...he chose my steak.

By: yogiman on 9/6/12 at 9:45

I disagree, slacker. My pills are better than y'all's. I hate taking those pills that makes y'all as ignorant as y'all are by being as stupid as this mob.

Believe me, the pills y'all are popping has taken any intelligence, or integrity, you used to have completely out of your skull. You're all acting like you're hollow headed now and proving it more every day.

By: gdiafante on 9/6/12 at 9:47

So yogi's old, senile and a druggie. That explains a lot. Damn old hippies...

By: bfra on 9/6/12 at 9:49

By: yogiman on 9/6/12 at 9:45

They are coming to take him away Ha Ha. Ho Ho, He He! I wish they would hurry up & get there.

By: yogiman on 9/6/12 at 9:49

So what pill are you poppin', gdiafante? Baby aspirin, perhaps? Or could it be Keppra?

By: Blanketnazi2 on 9/6/12 at 9:50

Once again, yogi can't make a comment with substance, he has to resort to name calling and conspiracy crap.

By: BigPapa on 9/6/12 at 9:51

Seriously the arguing on here is so over the top so ridiculous.
Politics, like religion (and college football) doesn't lend itself to logic, debate or argument.

Just for 1 min. sit there and try to think what the other side could possibly do that would convince you to vote for them. Don't edit your thoughts by saying "oh he'd never say that.." but seriously consider the idea.

If you are a Rep. is there ANYTHING (and I mean ANT THING) Obama could say that would have you vote for him? Same with the Dems on here.

See it's a total waste of time.

By: gdiafante on 9/6/12 at 9:52

Yeah, we get it Papa, it's such a waste of time that you take time to tell us every so often. Quit your bitching. If you don't like it, don't post. It is what it is.

By: bfra on 9/6/12 at 9:56

If Mitten plans to run the government, like he runs his businesses, there will not be a single job left in the United States.

By: BigPapa on 9/6/12 at 9:57

Back to chasing your wind mills..

By: slacker on 9/6/12 at 10:00

When it gets colder.. I might post my crock-pot chili recipe.

By: gdiafante on 9/6/12 at 10:01

It's not going to get colder...ever again.

slacker, we need to taste test that first.

By: bfra on 9/6/12 at 10:05

By: bfra on 9/6/12 at 10:10

Oh well, that link did not work. It just told of Mittens, double dealing, gutted businesses, jobs sent overseas & bankruptsies. Will try again later. Yogi wouldn't want to know FACTS anyway.

By: Loner on 9/6/12 at 10:15

House! You're BACK!! Welcome home, son.

Papa, if Willard & Wieners pledged to let the states decide on Cannabis, I'd vote for them....but a pig could fly out Wiener's arse before that happens.

Obama recently made an ad using that Kumar doper and his sidekick as his foil(s)...this is mocking out the folks who believed the reneger on the Cannabis issue...Obama is laughing at us for actually believing his 2008 promises....he fooled me once.....no mas!

By: gdiafante on 9/6/12 at 10:16

Slack, that isn't the same concoction that caused an eruption in Eddie Van Halen's intestines, is it?

See what I did there...

Hey pain.. I feared you were injured in the Bobby Petrino accident. There was another mystery cyclist.
