Up for Debate: Council's health benefits

Monday, October 8, 2012 at 1:34am

The Metro Council is considering a bill that would eliminate a policy that offers former two-term council members the opportunity to continue to participate in the Metro health care plan for life. What are your thoughts on the policy and do you think if should be eliminated?

bfra, I disagree. It's not the most stupid one that was ever posted - lol!

I got a sidebar ad that might interest our male troll:

That could account for the troll's hateful attitude toward BHO...he's jealous of the Mandingo warrior's "package".

By: bfra on 10/9/12 at 8:26

Loner - He is so old, he has forgot what that was! LOL

Never to be accepted by the popular kids. The troll could not understand that it was her personality that kept her under the bridge of shame.

On my way to North Carolina. I'll check in when I can.

Nemo - Have a safe trip! If you are going the Mt. route, don't stop & feed the bears. LOL

Don't think that 8:59 comment could be more stupid!

I always know when I hit a nerve because "you people" always get defensive and obnoxious as well as hateful. You couldn't have posted a response any better than this one at 9:03 bfra. You are so predictible.

How's your friend on Priest Lake Drive doing? Chum buddy!

I was not talking about me Nemroid. I was accepted by people who I wanted to be accepted by, thank you. "You people" are the ones who were unaccepted and probably were bullies. I'm just saying.

But why would I expect more or too much of ya'll? It's impossible for ya'll to be nice. AND ya'll are so predictible. It's always fun being right on target when I predict ya'll response to my posts. I laugh and laugh and laugh. Ya'll are so much fun! AND so predictible.

Keep on biting! Hooked! Caught! Snatched the bait! Fun for all!

Have a safe trip, Captain, you are going down into Romney country...the necks are considerably redder in NC, as opposed to TN. Take care.

Loner - Where a lot of race car drivers live, also. Hope Nemo doesn't challenge any of them on the road. LOL

Can you believe this idiot sits on the House of Representatives science committee?

And we wonder why the rest of the world sometimes thinks we're a bunch of knuckle dragging grass grazers....

By: yogiman on 10/9/12 at 10:11

It's comical, budlight. These "brilliant" usurper lovers can't tell if they've hit their on or off button.

They can't seem to remember with their mentality.

brrrrk - IMO, from a Baptist pulpit says it all!

By: yogiman on 10/9/12 at 10:29

Well, Loner,

You're wrong as usual. Quote me anywhere I made a negative comment about your favorite man Barack Obama (if that's his legal name). I'd be glad for you to prove it is; can you?

The only thing I have said about him (negative in your memoir) is he's a usurper in office and I have offered all kinds of evidence he is. You claim he isn't but you and your fellow posters haven't offered one iota of evidence he isn't. Why? Could it be because you can't find any, which I'm sure you would if you could, just to prove me wrong... which you can't.

Was that your on or off buttons, kids? Just be sure you read it before you turn it off unless you're turning it on to read before you turn if off, OK?

Felix Baumgartner is getting ready to make his supersonic jump...they are filling the balloon right now. Here's a live feed:

By: gdiafante on 10/9/12 at 11:39

Most people from outside of TN do indeed think of people here as knuckle-draggers. And there are definitely some out there.

I can think of two right off the bat...

By: bfra on 10/9/12 at 11:48

gdiafante - I can agree on that! The proof gets posted on this board all the time.

By: gdiafante on 10/9/12 at 11:49

Doesn't it take the balloon a couple of hours to get to 120K feet, Loner? That should make the jump itself around 2:45 or so...that'll be something to see...

Let's hope he isn't Felix the splat.

By: Loner on 10/9/12 at 12:02

They scrubbed the mission...winds picked up....they have a spare balloon...once the balloon is out of the box, it can't go back in...or sit out in the sun and the elements...it's very thin....it's a single-service deal.

One wonders, who is drinking all that Red Bull? These guys are financing this and F-1 cars and a whole lot more....I don't know of anyone who drinks the stuff...maybe I am just not hip? What gives?
