What are your predictions for the upcoming Davidson County primaries? How much if any ground will Democrats lose in what has historically been a blue stronghold?

Republicans, Tea Partiers, Birthers, TeaPublicans are a threat to any civilized society. The less of them, the better.
But, Tenn. like the rest of the South will always remain RED.

By: yogiman on 7/16/12 at 6:37

You forgot to add Democrats in your party names, dargent7.

By: gdiafante on 7/16/12 at 6:42

Davidson County will still be blue just as sure as Williamson will be red.

Anyone else get a kick out of the Diane Black commercials? She's gonna stop pay to Congress until they pass a budget...She's the most conservative Conservative Conservatives have ever voted for...and she's quite likely mentally unstable. lol

By: bfra on 7/16/12 at 6:56

Today starts as usual, yogi misses the point of everything he "thinks" he reads!

By: yogiman on 7/16/12 at 7:09

Grow up, bfra. Since you're up so early you should be matured by now. With your mental attitude, if anyone doesn't think like you, they aren't thinking correctly.

By: Rasputin72 on 7/16/12 at 8:26

The underclass normally does not vote in primaries. I think that it interferes with sign-ups for welfare, unemployment and my favorite food stamp day. Wine, beer and doobie sales will be heavy that day.

By: gdiafante on 7/16/12 at 8:28

So ridiculous he had to post it twice...

By: bfra on 7/16/12 at 8:31

Not surprised that Raspy knows when the freebie sign up days are. Bet he is the 1st. in line!

By: yogiman on 7/16/12 at 8:37

Sorry, bfra, he can only fall in line behind you and your fellow posters on this site. Just leave some good wine in your welfare provider.

By: gdiafante on 7/16/12 at 8:40

More on this Bain stuff: I think it's ridiculous that Romney is arguing that even though he was the CEO and listed on the SEC filing, since he didn't have anything to do with decision-making he shouldn't be held responsible. Sorry, if you sign off on something, it's yours.

It was amazing how both parties side-stepped the issue on "Meet the Press" yesterday. Neither could admit that outsourcing has become a standard business practice. Romney's side argued, in effect, that outsourcing was invented as a response to Obama's policies (kudos to David Gregory for debunking that) and the Dems are suddenly outraged about outsourcing, while allowing it to happen for years.

Can we just get rid of both parties and start over?

By: Rasputin72 on 7/16/12 at 8:44

Bfra........You are close to being correct. I make it a habit to know how much I pay in federal income taxes and how many helpless and mostly worthless people I support in Nashville.Tennessee. Obviously I am too modest to ask for their thanks every month.

I think these people (of little grey matter) would think me odd. Most of them think it comes from government trees.

You understand these people I am sure! Perhaps you are very close to many of them,

By: bfra on 7/16/12 at 8:49

Rasputin - Do you think anyone, other than yogi & possibly bud, are swallowing any of your Bull....?

By: Rasputin72 on 7/16/12 at 8:50

Gdiafante.......Mitt Romney cannot beat Barack Hussein Obama. I would not get my dander up over Bain or Romney's wealth. The Republicans as a matter of fact do not have a candidate that can beat Romney. My political donations go to beating him in the Senate and Congressional districts and states. At least we can keep his hands tied when he wins. The Senate races in November are critical to the productive class.

By: Rasputin72 on 7/16/12 at 8:52

Bfra......As long as what I post pisses you off, I could care less what you or anyone else swallows.

By: gdiafante on 7/16/12 at 8:54

You're wrong, Romney can absolutely beat Obama.

By: gdiafante on 7/16/12 at 8:54

So Raspy is honest, he's a troll. Now we can move on.

By: bfra on 7/16/12 at 8:55

Raspy - Liars don't piss me off, I just marvel at how stupid they are!

By: Rasputin72 on 7/16/12 at 9:00

gdiafante.....You have no idea how much I enjoy the role of troll! People like me give people like you and ummm and bfra an identity.

By: gdiafante on 7/16/12 at 9:02

No, this is entertainment...a way to pass the time. The fact that you take it so seriously is indeed sad. Oh, and I called this a few months back. You are so over the top it was pretty obvious.

By: yogiman on 7/16/12 at 9:04

There's one thing you can be sure of, bfra, I'm sure not swallowing your BS. Nor your co-posters. There's more BS on this site than any other site I'm on.

It's easy to just consider the source and ignore it.

By: yogiman on 7/16/12 at 9:08

Correct me if I'm wrong, gdiafarte, but how can you and your fellow posters put so much time on this site if you're at work?

Is "playing" on the internet your way of making a living? If so, I wish they had had them when I was your age.

By: gdiafante on 7/16/12 at 9:11

Yogi swallows, just not BS...lol

By: BenDover on 7/16/12 at 9:17

Good job by Hale on the referenced article.

By: Rasputin72 on 7/16/12 at 9:19

Yogi,,,,,You are connecting with a class of people that are either unemployed, shut ins or pare employed in a job so menial that it brings out a class envy. This is the face of an America that did not exist 50 years ago or at least it was suppressed by the productive class. They are the new majority and I think it sad not only for the productive class but for themselves as well, No matter how hard they try or how much they rail against the upper class there is no escape.

For example seeing comments from my side of the table is so foreign that they actually have no other defense and recognition other than to call me a fake and a troll and a liar.It is easier to comprehend if I am a troll and a liar and a fake.

By: gdiafante on 7/16/12 at 9:20

Raspy, you just admitted to being a troll, fake and liar. I understand that yogi isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but c'mon...

By: parnell3rd on 7/16/12 at 9:22

If you do not like living in Nashville, Tn, Then you are more than welcome to move. Or be like some liberal rich person who posts here who has 2 other homes to vacation at during the year.

By: parnell3rd on 7/16/12 at 9:24

On to other news: Thousands of US citizen's taxpayers money spent to send Sec. of State Hilary Clinton to Egypt. Watching the citizens of Egypt shout "Monica, Monica" throw tomatoes and shoes at her. PRICELESS!!!!

By: BenDover on 7/16/12 at 9:26

How 'bout Breaking Bad last night?

By: gdiafante on 7/16/12 at 9:27

Don't do it, Ben...I DVR'd it...I'll watch it tonight...

By: parnell3rd on 7/16/12 at 9:31

On to other news: Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says 'It's okay to be a gang banger, but not around the children" "go be a gang banger some where else"
Hey Rahm, how about arresting them.
Did you know more citizens of Chicago have been murdered this year than US soldiers have died in Afganistan, this year.
Both are very tragic. But only liberals scream about American Losses in Afganistan. Here it is refered to as Bush's wars. Strange how BHO while on the campaign trail said he would end those wars in his first term. He wanted to extend the time in Iraq and we're still in Afganistan. Would that be 2 more promises broken?
Oh, I forgot, Politicians lie to get elected. He took Richard Nixon's line when he ran for office.

By: yogiman on 7/16/12 at 9:33

I agree with you, Rasputin72. These "youngsters" feel if they don't know it, it isn't known.

But it's funny, they go off the site every day about "git off" time and never make a comment from home (wonder if they can afford internet at home). And then Friday evening they're gone for the weekend. But Monday morning, they're back on the job (internet).

And gdiafarte, I'll admit, I wish I had the intelligence you think you have. Just add a little bit of the world knowledge I've gained through life and I'd be a brilliant man like you.

By: BenDover on 7/16/12 at 9:40

OK... we'll put it off 'til tomorrow. You won't be disappointed. It's not the normal bore-fest of a season opener we're accustomed to.... heavy on the commercials though.

By: gdiafante on 7/16/12 at 9:40

And gdiafarte, I'll admit, I wish I had the intelligence you think you have...

Irony can be pretty ironic sometimes...lol

By: yogiman on 7/16/12 at 9:41

parnell3rd,

Can you name one promise Barry made that he's kept? Can you name one politician that isn't a liar?

Can you think of any reason to vote for one of these "in house" politicians that's running for re-election that deserves to be re-elected after staying silent on a usurper in office?

By: bfra on 7/16/12 at 9:46

If the trolls will go ahead & run their course, the discussion might get interesting.

By: gdiafante on 7/16/12 at 9:48

Ignore them.

By: yogiman on 7/16/12 at 9:49

Not to change the subject.... but, does anyone how Barack Obama can make all kind of claims and accusations on Mitt Romney but he finds in okay he doesn't need to show anything; you know, like a birth certificate, or passports, or college papers?

Maybe Romney could make a deal; You show me yours and I'll show you mine.

I'll bet you 10 bottle of wine to one Barry won't agree.

By: parnell3rd on 7/16/12 at 9:50

In other news: President Barack "it's all Bush's fault" Obama told Charlie Rose "If Romney was president and I was running against him, with all the failed policies that I have, you bet I'd use it against him.
BHO can not run on his failures so in socialist/communist fashion, he send his minions out to hard on one subject every week. This week it's Bain Capital. Last week it was oh my gosh he has money in swiss bank accounts. Ops, Mr. President alot of us demoncrats have money overseas too!!
Prior to that it was OMG he went on family vacation with the dog on the roof of the family car!!!!
BHO, "that's okay I've eaten dog, pretty tasty"

By: yogiman on 7/16/12 at 9:53

Sorry, bfra,

You must be intelligent to have an interesting discussion. That leaves you out.

By: dargent7 on 7/16/12 at 9:53

Keep Raspy's posts in their proper context: He knockes back a couple of beers at The Men's Grill. That's a dive at Hillwood CC. All white. No minorities or women allowed.
The cooks and waiters and bartenders are all black. The managers are all white.
I dealt with this shit in Detroit in the 70's.
There you go.

By: parnell3rd on 7/16/12 at 9:53

One more: BHO sends his minions out to complain how Romney is bringing in more campaign money than they can. boo hoo!
How ironic, they were not complaining when they were bringing in more money than McCain 4 years ago.
They are like spoiled brats that cry when things don't go their way.
I'm out, more coffee for Capt. Caffeine!!!

By: dargent7 on 7/16/12 at 10:01

Parnell3: Don't count Obama out, just yet.
He's a self made man from Chicago.
Romney was BORN into privledge.
The son of a Mich. governor and President of American Motors. You the son of a major car co's. President?
Obama's mommy was white, and a single parent. Daddy died while in Kenya.
Obama's worked and earned everything he's got. Harvard Law? You Repubs couldn't find Harvard with a GPS.
Romney inherited success by virtue of his last name.
When asked questions, he "pick 'n rolls" more than Kobe or Scottie Pippen.
Election 2012? I'll place my bet on the skinny black kid.

By: yogiman on 7/16/12 at 10:02

parnell3rd,

Different nations and different societies have different ways of life and different foods they eat. I don't know if they eat dog meat in Indonesia normally as was noted when Obama lived there as a child, but I have heard of other countries that eat dog meat.

Just different foods in different nations.

During WWII horse meat was eaten in the USA. It was stopped after the war and I understand they use it now to make dog food.

By: parnell3rd on 7/16/12 at 10:04

Hey Yogi I hear you!
When he said "We are 5 days away from fudelmentally changing America" People who voted for change were either socialist/comunist or just voted for history. They did not look at his "non voting record, the media did not Vet him because they were attacking Sarah Palin.
And yes, all politicians are liars, both parties!

By: gdiafante on 7/16/12 at 10:07

They are like spoiled brats that cry when things don't go their way.

Who's crying now...

-Connie Francis

lol

By: parnell3rd on 7/16/12 at 10:09

He did keep his promise to "necesarily raise your electric rates" by "taxing the coal industry out of business" "It's okay if you want to open a coal plant but I will make it difficult for you to succede"
Oh yea, he raised gasoline prices too, by shutting down drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and sending 3 billion dollars of our money to Venezuala for them to drill for oil.
Yes Yogi, he's keeping some of his promises.

By: yogiman on 7/16/12 at 10:10

dargent7,

Are you saying Obama's mother wasn't married to his father? On what basis?

And you're saying Obama "earned" his education? BS! What job did he do to earn his education? The only job I've read about in his childhood was in a milkshake restaurant.

By: parnell3rd on 7/16/12 at 10:16

Dargent 7 you don't get it. Money buys power and the white house.
This has been going on since President Kennedy.
In BHO's own words, "nobody makes it on their own" Socialist doctrine.
BHO had everything handed to him just like Romney. They are the same.
How did he afford Harvard? He did not pay for his own college education. He said he paid off his student loans, but he's lying. How did he get money to travel overseas? I guess some one in his family had money.
President Bush found Harvard.
Here is another thing your missing: We are not run by a 2 party system, we are run by the Ivy League. Look at were our past Presidents went to college.

By: parnell3rd on 7/16/12 at 10:20

The repubs elected the man who lost to McCain. Why? Because he had more money than the rest of the field.
Romney is just another Moderate who was the Governor of one of the most liberal states in the USA. We are freaking doomed as a country.
D7 how can you root for a Socialist?
