Should we end the practice of Daylight Saving Time as one White House petition suggests, or is there reason to maintain it?

You know what a Lindsay Lohan is don't you, Slacker...

By: BenDover on 3/12/13 at 12:57

I think being on the far eastern side of the time-zone is a drag because it gets dark so early, nemo. That was my only reason to suggest.

By: slacker on 3/12/13 at 12:57

A troubled.. red-headed..young lady.. Ben?

By: BenDover on 3/12/13 at 1:14

It's a red headed slut with a splash of coke.

By: Captain Nemo on 3/12/13 at 1:18

Red headed slut.. are you talking about yogi or Raspy?

By: Blanketnazi2 on 3/12/13 at 1:29

LOL, Ben. I'll have to remember that one.

Don't forget the goat mike!

By: Loner on 3/12/13 at 1:38

Bn...you and I are on the same page....in sync?

By: bfra on 3/12/13 at 1:39

Well the money got to enough of our scumbag politicians to defeat the wine in grocery stores bill. Not surprised, but sometimes, I do stray & have a little faith that some of these elected scumbags will do the right thing. Oh well!

By: Loner on 3/12/13 at 1:40

Somebody got yer goat, Cap'n?

By: Captain Nemo on 3/12/13 at 1:44

Nope, Loner. I thought it would be a great ingredient for a Southern version of Red HEAD SLUT.

By: Loner on 3/12/13 at 1:45

Bfra...a bag of scum is a bag of scum...'twas ever thus....but I hear ya....special interests trumped the general interest once again...money did talk....now you walk....walk to the protected monopoly store and support corporate welfare locally....when it comes to booze, it seems that the free market capitalist system is left out of the equation....it's a legal racket....the echoes of Prohibition still bouncing off the walls.

By: bfra on 3/12/13 at 1:56

Loner - It should be against the law, the way the liquor store owners & lobbiest control the industry with money to politicians. They don't even attempt to cover it up anymore. The entire lot should be charged with bribery.

By: slacker on 3/12/13 at 2:10

I was hoping to get Rasp to sing along.. with the wine ditty. lol

By: bfra on 3/12/13 at 2:12

slacker - Raspy is a cheap gin type.

By: slacker on 3/12/13 at 2:14

bfra, its unlikely to change during our lifetime. The liquor lobby is just too powerful in this state. It doesn't matter what party is in power.

By: slacker on 3/12/13 at 2:16

Actually Rasp is a respected ''Bum Wine'' connoisseur..
He lectures weekly at the mission.

By: bfra on 3/12/13 at 2:17

slacker - No this is 1 thing where party doesn't matter. The only thing that matters in this situation is greed & money.

By: bfra on 3/12/13 at 2:19

slacker - With Raspy's memory or lack there of, he couldn't remember when or where to lecture.

By: bfra on 3/12/13 at 2:21

Of course then Raspy's memory might just be short on the smoke he tries to blow on this forum. He sure can tell some whoppers, even with his tail between his legs.

Well, in Calif. the sun rose about 6:15AM.
Now, it's at 7:15AM.
So, another hour of darkness in the am, to get another hour of lightness in the pm?
Everyone goes to work now at 6:00AM. Not at 7:00AM like in the 80's.
Everyone works 12 hours a day...no longer, '9 TO 5". It's "6:30am TO 7:00pm". Minimally.
What's the difference? You lose something to get another of equal value.

By: Jughead on 3/12/13 at 2:23

My weewee is infected.

By: slacker on 3/12/13 at 2:24

Jug.. rub some dirt on it..

By: Rasputin72 on 3/12/13 at 2:24

The dollar superbly reigns supreme in all matters where the dollar has a vote.

The surprise "wine in groceries"vote was a brillant manipulation by the people that still count in America. The Golden rule continues to do battle with the do-gooders and the underclass.

"Whomever has the gold makes the rule"

The wholesale liguor boys pulled this victory out by the skin of their teeth. This is the first major challenge the liquor wholesalers have had in over 50 years.

I predict the victory will be shortlived. Sometime in the next five years the 10 to 18 dollara bottle wine drinkers will "tear down that wall"

re: The Cardinal's Conclave"....
The Vegas line is on Dolan.
I agree.

By: bfra on 3/12/13 at 2:54

slacker - Jughead doesn't know the difference, so it might be his head is infected!

By: bfra on 3/12/13 at 2:55

OOPS - The one attached to his neck!

By: bfra on 3/12/13 at 2:56

Raspy - What's your favorite, Mad Dog?

By: Jughead on 3/12/13 at 3:00

My weewee fell off.

By: bfra on 3/12/13 at 3:05

Sounds right!

By: Blanketnazi2 on 3/12/13 at 3:22

Jughead, I bet it was so small it took you a while to even notice.

By: yogiman on 3/12/13 at 3:32

Traitor's club? Is that the one you're president of, bfra? Don't worry about it, I don't want to embarrass you too much.

It would be hard trying to explain to your local fellow traitors your ignorance on your man Barry.

By: slacker on 3/12/13 at 3:33

Sorry to hear that Jug.. squatting is not so bad.. I'm sure you'll get used to it.
Keep your head up.. oh scratch that.

By: Captain Nemo on 3/12/13 at 3:36

My weewee is infected.

Take it of your mouth then.

By: bfra on 3/12/13 at 3:39

yogi - You should work on being able to have a response of your own, instead of trying to use others. Oh, I forgot, that would require having a brain!

By: Captain Nemo on 3/12/13 at 3:39

By: Jughead on 3/12/13 at 4:00
My weewee fell off.

You shouldn't of bitten down.

By: Captain Nemo on 3/12/13 at 3:41

Since yogi is still up.

Here is another asinine bull crap from yogi. Time zones are man made you Jackass.

By: yogiman on 3/12/13 at 10:27
The time zone is determined by the sun, BenDover. The time of daylight, or nighttime, will be the same as the time zone you're in.

Before the 19th Century
Many cities around the world historically kept their own time by using some type of instrument to observe the sun’s zenith at noon. The earliest time measuring devices used either the sun’s shadow or the rate in which water runs out of a vessel. The pendulum clock was developed during the 17th century – these clocks were sufficiently accurate to be used at sea to determine longitude and for scientific time measurement in the 18th century.
English horologist John Harrison proved in 1764 that a clock could be used to locate a ship's position at sea with extraordinary accuracy. A new Longitude Act, known as the Act 5 George III, followed in 1765. Chronometers, which measure time accurately in spite of motion or varying conditions, became popular instruments among many merchant mariners during the 19th century.

Loner, some good weed.. might lift Jug's spirits.
I think it will take more than that.

By: Captain Nemo on 3/12/13 at 3:44

I was in hopes that we would have someone new on this board and not another p3 jerk.

By: Jughead on 3/12/13 at 3:47

My weewee has a first name.

By: Captain Nemo on 3/12/13 at 3:50

It has to be Little Boy Blue.

By: slacker on 3/12/13 at 3:52

lol Nemo

By: Captain Nemo on 3/12/13 at 3:54

Gee wiz slacker, they are getting dumber.

By: yogiman on 3/12/13 at 3:58

What little book are you talking about, bfra, the Constitution? I just a fresh new box of them. I've edited one of them and they all say the same thing the other ones did: You have to be a natural born citizen to become president of this nation.

Which should help you by the fact your buddy Barry can't be impeached. He can only be tried as a criminal.

An important issue you should use your feeble brain to think about: As a usurper, he cannot legally sign a bill passed by congress into law. On that basis, all laws put into law are legally lawless.

Unless you have a new definition of natural born citizen, Barry Soetoro aka Barack Obama is simply a usurper in office.

I'm wrong? Prove it.

By: Captain Nemo on 3/12/13 at 4:00

If you posted it yogi, then it is wrong.

By: yogiman on 1/26/13 at 3:13
dumba$$, you couldn't even pass a spelling test, let alone a test of intelligence.

Want to try one? Check on google or bing and take a test.

By: Captain Nemo on 1/26/13 at 3:33
I took the test yogi and a made a 100.

By: yogiman on 1/26/13 at 7:30
I feel so humiliated, dumba$$, to get beat by an idiot as ignorant as you.

By: bfra on 3/12/13 at 4:01

Nemo - No matter how dumb they are, they can't get any dumber than yogi.

By: Captain Nemo on 3/12/13 at 4:06

bfra-

I think Jughead is making a run for it. LOL
