Up for Debate: Election questions unanswered

Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 2:00am

Now, after all of the presidential debates are done, what questions remain for the candidates? Do you see either candidate riding any momentum out of the debates?

Time for another latte and a satisfying smoke...back in five.

By: govskeptic on 10/24/12 at 9:11

Having just completed most of the President's new (and truly late) 20 page
brochure on his economy plans, it turns out it's goals not real and
objective proposals he's touting. Goals are for dieters and salesmen,
proposals are for managers and owners, and a real President.

If undecideds do break for Romney then Obama's going to have a bad day.

By: gdiafante on 10/24/12 at 9:14

Ben, maybe you should pay attention to the little things...Citizen United was 2010. Obama's fundraising in 2008, as has been fully documented, was mainly individual small donors.

Now, call me crazy, but small, individual donors are more in the spirit of "the people" than what Citizens United has heaped upon us, no?

By: gdiafante on 10/24/12 at 9:18

If undecideds do break for Romney then Obama's going to have a bad day.

Thank you Mr. Obvious. I had no idea that in a virtual tie, the tiebreaker would be the ones who haven't chosen yet.

Yer so smart

You're schtick gets old, Ben. For a grown man you sure do whine a lot. There for a moment I forgot that you're pretty much like another certain troll. I won't forget again.

Ben's 10:31 link is from Oct. 28, 2008. He is so like another troll on this board.

I wonder what the right thinks about Linda McMahon using Obama's coat tails to get elected?

When you vote for Obama, vote for me....Linda McMahon? Obviously there's no shame...

Yes, I used to think there was a quantitative difference between Ben and yogi (and the rest of yogi ilk).... but it appears that one authoritarian is no different than another. On the other hand, Ben is a "network Nazi" (don't get your knickers in a wad over this Ben.. anyone in IT knows what I mean), so I don't know why I'm surprised......

By: BenDover on 10/24/12 at 9:52

Actually I would not have used that link if I'd noticed it was from Obama cheating in '08.

This was the one I was looking for when I googled it.

If people are still undecided at this point, I have to question their wisdom, or their sanity.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 10:00

As our articles in the Daily Beast demonstrate, we have consistently been critical of the Romney campaign’s refusal to release the names of its bundlers. As ever, the Government Accountability Institute remains committed to nonpartisan, fact-driven analysis,” Peter Schweizer, GAI President said.

Ben left out that the same organization has concerns about Romney's donations.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 10:01

Or what real motive is driving them, Mike. I totally agree.

If you remember, BenDover, Colin Powell threw his hat in the ring for Obama at the "bottom of the hill". It was obvious it was a racist issue.

First Akin...now Mourdock...and Dejarlais....and others....the Baggers are showing their lack of political seamanship...it's a seafaring narrative:

The Tea Baggers took over the helm on the SS GOP.... and the unseasoned mutineers plotted a new course for the grand old vessel, but the ship listed further to the right.

The mutinous Baggers paid no attention to the list and ordered, "Full Right Rudder". The ship heeled to starboard, waves crashed over her bow, and then they ordered, "Full Speed Ahead". . The Baggers had set a course for Utopia, but a sea-change had occurred

Now, main hatch-ways are giving way and water's pouring in...the good ship's in peril. The gales of November have come early.

slacker - Darn! I thought he was going to show off a new rug. On his head, that is!

Trumps new book.. How to spot a narcissist.. set for release nov.1st.

By: yogiman on 10/24/12 at 10:42

Trump made that statement because he knew he wouldn't cost him anything. Barry's already spent too much to hide those papers. He's not going to blow that money to his lawyers.

By: Loner on 10/24/12 at 10:51

High Trumpery!!

Prepare the flagellation machine! Trump has presented his bare rump for the lash.....and the backlash.....it's gonna feel so good when the flagellation stops...the man is kinkier than I had imagined...don't let your kids see this:

THWACK...THWACK...THWACK...(Trump: Harder...Harder!!)...THWACK...THWACK...

By: Loner on 10/24/12 at 10:53

Obama should make a counter-offer...he'll show his records, if Trump shows us his balding scalp....again, for charity's sake...BTW, the "charity" that Trump has in mind is probably a front for a Super PAC...or worse.

By: gdiafante on 10/24/12 at 11:06

Trump's a joke, everyone knows it. Especially NY'ers.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 11:06

What a pathetic attempt to insert himself into the election process. He is such a loser.

By: Rasputin72 on 10/24/12 at 11:08

Belonging to three Country Clubs in three different states is considered by some to be over the top considering the hundreds of thousands dollars to join. The screening process process is a pain.

All and all,the cost of being with your own kind and people of sound mine makes one feel comfortable with that investment.

The more rants against success I see and read from the "Simple Six" the more I realize that they represent just a sampling of what lies beyond the gates.

I truly would love to know what they see in the mirror each morning when they shave.

One thing it does for me is to thankful for the life I have worked so hard to achieve. I now know that the competition was not nearly so comperitive as I thought.

By: Loner on 10/24/12 at 11:13

Rasp sez: "All and all,the cost of being with your own kind and people of sound mine (sic) makes one feel comfortable with that investment."

Do the Iranians know about sound mines? If they mine the Straits of Hormuz, a cacophony of dissonance could really resonate....hope the US Navy is prepared for that.

By: slacker on 10/24/12 at 11:13

Yeah.. Trumps a caricature of himself.

By: gdiafante on 10/24/12 at 11:15

I truly would love to know what they see in the mirror each morning when they shave.

Why would we shave? We're rabble, we don't need no stinking razors...

By the way, Chuck Norris doesn't shave either...fear the beard.

By: slacker on 10/24/12 at 11:17

Rasp will release his records (jail) for a case of beer & bag of Fritos.

By: Loner on 10/24/12 at 11:23

The President has excellent comedic advisers...he'll turn this around and make Trump look like the racist knucklehead that he actually is.

Trump may be the world's biggest sore-loser....yet he keeps coming back for more punishment...time for Obama to deliver the knock-out punch to the masochistic Captain Comb-over....Obama should realize that Trump's brain is in his @ss; therefore, a swift Karate kick to Trump's rump should render the bloodied bully unconscious..it's the humane thing to do....Kick his @ss, Mister President!

By: slacker on 10/24/12 at 11:26

Rasp is very cocky today, his suspension must have been lifted at the downtown library.

By: Loner on 10/24/12 at 11:31

For a fifth of gin and a jar of Grey Poupon, the Rasp will surrender his shopping cart...but not the contents...his membership documents are in one of those plastic garbage bags.....bless his heart....Rasp suffers from Grey Pouponosis...very debilitating....no known cure.

By: slacker on 10/24/12 at 11:32

I'm thinking the hair dye has leached into the Donald brain. His brain is now the color of his hair.. very sad.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 11:32

Junior, aka Raspy, actually lives in subsidized housing. It actually has a three star rating.

All citizens who are 62 and over may apply provided they are able to maintain themselves in a living situation. Applicants are limited to those whose income does not exceed income limits determined by regulations of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.eff

By: Loner on 10/24/12 at 11:40

Shaving? Who can afford that, when good herb is going for 320 a Z...? I got my priorities right....and Medicare refuses to cover my Cannabis medication....I gotta choose: Shave my face....or save my mind.....I choose to preserve my sanity, as opposed to faking it as a beardless old man, trying to mimic the hairless cheeks of a boy....I prefer the silver bearded sage-like look...the baby-faced sexagenarian look is not for me....let Mitt go that route.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 11:40

Subsidized housing with a three star rating. Not exactly a country club - lol! But hey, at least the place does have lounge areas in the building. You just aren't allowed to wander around in a robe and depends. That's Raspy's "country club dress code."

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 11:41

But hey, it is a step up from The Nations. You Came a Long Way, Baby! LOL

By: yogiman on 10/24/12 at 11:43

B2,

It's so interesting complaints can be made so readily on Romney's disregard on releasing his bank statements. But nothing is mentioned about Obama refusing to release his OFFICIAL birth certificate, his SSN papers, his school papers... you name it but he doesn't need to release it.

Romney has release everything required by law for his candidacy but Obama has refused to show one piece of paper to prove his eligibility.

Can you explain why, and why you accept his refusal?

I must congratulate you, Loner. To think New Yauk doesn't have any crooks in their politics is amazing. Wonder if any other state can compare such honesty with them?

OK, I'm kidding. It's just a dumb comment.

It's simple: Because you don't have an answer.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 10/24/12 at 11:54

It wouldn't surprise me if Raspy is a bum fight promoter. That would be more up his alley and I hear there is a niche market for such a thing.
