Up for Debate: Former ricin suspect freed

Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 1:39am

Is the case of former ricin suspect Paul Kevin Curtis an example of a failed justice system or an excusable act for law enforcement under the circumstances?

Bud's into the white powder?

By: Rasputin72 on 4/24/13 at 12:50

Jughead....was of the opinion that there were black people posting on this site. I do not know where that opinion originated in his mind but I think that mindset is what was the focus of his energy.

By: Loner on 4/24/13 at 12:54

Rasp, you gotta have a mind in order to have a mindset....those mindless verbal attacks came from a mindless troll....one we should never have paid any mind to.

The view from the fringe right often confuses fantasy from reality. They think Communist and Muslims are the same.

bud is into something.

I think the law enforcement in this country during this pass week has done an excellent job and responding to all that has taken place.

By: BenDover on 4/24/13 at 1:58

No word from brrrrk, bfra or gd yet either.

Did we miss the rapture?

By: Rasputin72 on 4/24/13 at 2:02

As an academic interest I am interested in knowing how many people who post on this site and own property in Davidson county have had property appraisals that have increased their
peoperty taxes?

By: Jughead on 4/24/13 at 2:03

Framed. And, the Justice Dept's coverup of the Boston Bombers will dwarf this.

Saudi's involved, no doubt. But, Barry Sortero wants to play nice with his Muslim brothers.

By: BenDover on 4/24/13 at 2:22

Jughead! We thought you'd been snuffed.

By: BenDover on 4/24/13 at 2:24

Raspy... for the first time in 15 years my property assessment went down... by about 2.5%. I'm in the lowly Nipper's Corner area. I think it's because they realigned my voting district from Marsha Blackburn to Jim Cooper.

Have not checked the mail at the condo. I suspect that's where the bad news will be this cycle.

By: Rasputin72 on 4/24/13 at 2:31

BEN.........Where is the condo?

By: BenDover on 4/24/13 at 3:01

3rd and Demonbreun in Encore.

We bought at the bottom of the market there in '09 and have been expecting a correction.

Comparatives are up about 35% over our purchase now.

By: Rasputin72 on 4/24/13 at 3:30

Ben Dover ...Would not be surprised at all, by what I am hearing from the highest source at the tax assessors office.

75% of the county will experience a tax decrease because of a decrease in property values. The. areas pf Belle Meade, Green Hills, Forrest Hills, and any property adjacent to Williamson county will see tax increases to make up for the loss of revenue in the middle and lower class areas of Davidson county.

By: Rasputin72 on 4/24/13 at 3:41

I don't expect many of the people whp post on this site to be affected since the biggest majority either are renters or people who own property in the lower income and devalued property areas.

By: bfra on 4/24/13 at 3:48

Well I tuned in just in time to find out Raspy's eagle eye is still out of socket! If he knew half as much as he claims to know, he would have a better memory & wouldn't have to LIE so much. Oh, & he would learn to spell!

By: dargent7 on 4/24/13 at 3:51

"renters or lower income properties who live in devalued areas..."
Hopw about an EDUCATION?
Bet Raspy, Jugg, Yogi don't have an aggregate GED among them.

By: bfra on 4/24/13 at 3:56

d7 - Judging by what they put on the board, you are right.

By: yogiman on 4/24/13 at 4:00

This ol' man ain't been thrown out, BenDover. An old friend of mine (no, not one hating me as your friend, bfra) came by and we've been talking all day. He's going to help me with some work on my house this spring so there might be some days when the usurper admirers won't have to "hear" what I have to say.

By: bfra on 4/24/13 at 4:05

yogi will put any kind of a lie on here to keep from meeting Nemo! yellowbelly!

By: yogiman on 4/24/13 at 4:15

Tell ya what, bfra. You make a date with you buddy dumba$$ and I'll meet you two for a "discussion". that is, if you can be civilized.

I'd love to hear you call me a liar to my face. I'd be interested how your feeble mind was thinking. That is, if you would tell me.

By: bfra on 4/24/13 at 4:18

yogi puts another lie on the board! You have been ask by Nemo many times and you just lie & make excuses. Why do you think I want to waste my time on a dumb nobody like you?

By: yogiman on 4/24/13 at 4:21

Well, dargent7, I don't know what kind of score I would make today with only half the brain I had before, but when I took the GED test in bootcamp when I joined the Navy I was told I had made the highest score ever on that test.

I thought; of all the guys that took that test when they came through here in WWII time and that guy tells me I made the highest score? BS, he's lying to me. But after talking to the other guys that took the test with me, not of them were told that.

But he never gave me my score. Wonder if it was 15 or minus 15.

By: bfra on 4/24/13 at 4:25

yogi - Most posters know, the only thing they can believe about your comments is the date & time it was made.

By: yogiman on 4/24/13 at 4:35

What do you call a lie when I tell dunba$$ I'm not coming to meet him, bfra?

For your information for your feeble mind, I agreed to meed with your buddy before but he never showed up.

He had been unable to post a decent word to me on this site and I couldn't see taking any of my time to see if he might show up the next time.

Since we obviously don't agree on anything in a friendly manner, I can't see why I should take time to think about meeting him; unless you're going to be there with him to call me a liar.

By: yogiman on 4/24/13 at 4:39

Heard a good song today. It's called "Obamanation" by Ray Stevens. Funny but true.

yogi - Two things I can't stand, a liar & a thief.

By: bfra on 4/24/13 at 4:49

Well yogi I have a good memory & Nemo has been there several times & let you know when he would be there & you never showed up as you said you would. Guess it is hard to drive, with where your head stays.

By: yogiman on 4/24/13 at 5:14

Well, so I'm a liar and a thief. What have I stole, bfra, your lack of integrity?

I obviously don't have the same caliber of memory as you, bfra. But yes, dubma$$ has noted he was going through Gordonsville several times after that first time he said he would meet me... but never showed up.

And no, I never agreed to meet him after that one time I agreed to meet him. And I told him why when he "told me" he would be there later.

So I should just take my time and to over and sit and wait for him to just possibly show up some day? No thanks.

By: Rasputin72 on 4/24/13 at 5:28

Just as I suspected . The explosive response to my inquiry about property tax appraisals has uncovered the heart and soul of this website. This is a hotbed for the 47% whose income and net worth matches their motivation, education and IQ.

Only Ben Dover lives in one of the areas where an appraisal raises his property taxes.

Dargent7....audaciously posts his contempt for the upperclass who paid $100,000 dollars for his medical care in California.

No matter how deep my Nashville rooots may be every year when I return from Florida I find a deeper and deeper underclass population. I was shocked to see the "element" had a road built to connect West End with Swetts.Restaurant.

I have also made a cursory visit to the Karl Dean Armory downtown. Karl Dean should have been Mayor in the 70's when America was alive with growth. Today, one must believe that Karl Dean has no idea that the United States is broke and that what would have been a great idea in perhaps as little as 15 years ago may turn out to be a folly.

75% of Davidson county had falling property values. 25% must make up the difference in the property taxes. No wonder that Williamson county looks so attractive. I see that their schools are flourishing and the crime rate is one of the lowest in the state.

The Davidson county schools are now firmly in the grasp of the underclass with 63% being on the free breakfast free lunch program and profiteers coming in the form of charter schools to rescue what cannot be rescued.

Rio de Janiero keeps their huddled masses huddled through a burdensome and expensive police program which allows them to abuse and kill each other but does not allow them to become part of the city. They are constantly passing laws which inhibit their criminal behavior and the spread of AIDS.

By: Rasputin72 on 4/24/13 at 5:35

I have returned to my city of birth and past glory to see the signs of some significant growth as well as future financial burdens. Even more it is not the underclass that I worry about it is the slow slide of the middle class into the underclass camp that gives pause to my crystal ball,

The diverse opinions of Americans now numbers in the thousands. All of which or most of which must be dealt with no known answers.

By: Captain Nemo on 4/24/13 at 5:43

LOL d7 to your 3:51 post.

By: Captain Nemo on 4/24/13 at 5:46

yogi you won€'t even make a date with me , now you want to take on two of us. LOL

By: yogiman on 4/24/13 at 7:18

I don't make dates with men, dumba$$. I only make appointments that I intend to keep. And yes, I'll take the two of you on. I'd like to hear your face to face accusations of lies I'm supposed to be telling.

Maybe I could convince you two of your ignorance.

By: yogiman on 4/24/13 at 7:24

dargent7,

Perhaps you should go back to school and see if you can re-take your GED test and increase your grade a couple of points. You might make it all the way up to 18.

At least you may be able to write a sentence correctly. Check your 3:51 post and explain why you started your sentence with a small letter. And did you mean "or" or "of"? And what is the word "Hopw"? Did you mean "how", or "hope"?
