Do you agree with the dismissal of acting IRS commissioner? Is he just an easy scapegoat? Do you think others dismissals follow?

It's pretty obvious he's an easy scapegoat. And yes, I believe there will be others who follow him. But the whole picture will be getting brighter in the near future.

That is, if congress ever get's off their a$$es.

By: yogiman on 5/16/13 at 4:27

Coincidental? Just wondering:

A funny and interesting article on football I just read.

Alabama beat Arkansas... and Arkansas fired their coach.

Alabama beat Tennessee... and Tennessee fired their coach.

Arkansas beat Auburn... and Auburn fired their coach.

Then Arkansas beat Notre Dame and the Pope resigned....

Damn, I wish the White House had a team.

Facts are facts, folks. Check out the television show "Meet The Press" of Sunday September 7, 2008 at 11:48:04EST when Senator Barack Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag.

General Bill Gann, USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain why he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played. The General stated to Obama that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171... during rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present (except those in uniform) are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Or at the very least. "Stand and Face It". NOW GET THIS!

Senator Obama replied: "As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides. There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. The anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing."

Obama continued: "The National Anthem should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing'. If that were our anthem, then, I might salute it. In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthem as well as 'redesign' our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we, as a Nation of warring people, conduct ourselves like the nations of Islam, where peace prevails... perhaps a state or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments..."

"When I become President, I will seek a pact of agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation, have placed upon the nations of Islam, an unfair injustice which is why my WIFE disrespects the Flag and she and I attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past."

"Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have PUT MY HATRED aside. I will use my power to bring change to this Nation and offer the people a new part. My wife and I look forward to becoming our country's first black Family."

Well, folks, Barry's CHANGE has been taking place in our nation for over four years now.

Just wondering: Has his wife learned to love the USA yet?

Good morning, Nashville.

Do you agree with the dismissal of acting IRS commissioner? Is he just an easy scapegoat? Do you think others dismissals follow?

No doubt, the IRS chief, Steven Miller, was in the hot seat; he had to go. He wasn't "fired", he "resigned".

Of course, Miller was the scapegoat; but when one is the chief, one is responsible for the actions of the entire tribe and for the actions of every member within the tribe....the chief blew it.

There will probably be more dismissals or resignations, as BHO tries to further distance himself from the dirty tricks team at IRS.

I did not like it when Tricky Dick targeted "the hippies"...the leftists...so, I cannot stand by silently when the left pulls an old right-wing trick like this.

In my view, this IRS thing rises to the level of scandal....the Benghazi incident was a tragedy, but not a scandal....Benghazi is simply a GOP witch-hunt targeting Hillary Clinton....the presumed Democratic candidate in 2016.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 5:23

Yogi, facts are facts....and the fact of the matter is that on Sept.7, 2008 Joe Biden and Tom Friedman were Tom Brokaw's guests on "Meet the Press"....Senator Obama was not even on that show; how could he have said the things that you claim he said on that show?

You have been had, once again...there is no fool like an old fool, Yogi....you have zero credibility:....here's a link to the transcript for that program....read it and weep.

A look at Obama's White House Staff shows the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated Obama's administration. By infiltration or by choice?

Six American Islamist actives who work with the Obama administration are Muslim Brotherhood operatives who enjoy strong influence of U.S. policy. They are:

Arif Alikan - Asst. Secretary for Policy Development for the U.S. Dept of Homeland Security.
Mohammed Elibiary - Homeland Security Adviser
Rashad Hussain - Special Envoy to the (OIC) Organization of the Islamic Conference.
Salam al-Marayati - Obama Adviser - founder Muslim Public Affairs Council and current Executive Director.
Imam Mohamed Magid - Obama's Sharia Czar - Islamic Society of North America.
Eboo Patel - Advisor Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood partnership.

This does not mention John Brennan, a new CIA Director who was sworn in without a Bible. He converted to Islam a couple of years ago.

Two more were added last week with no fanfare.

You all had better wake up, folks, unless you're "in the game" with Barry.

By: yogiman on 5/16/13 at 5:30

Well, Loner, I may have the date wrong, but I remember seeing, and hearing, Barack Obama on television making those very statements.

Say what you wish about me, time will tell and is passing fast today.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 5:31

Once again, Yogi was easily fooled...his hate for BHO is so deep that he would believe anything negative, no matter how ridiculous, about the man and his family.

The cut/paste BS that Yogi posted @ 6:05 was totally debunked here:

Yogi is a consummate fool....a fool's fool....Yogi, would you like to buy the Brooklyn Bridge? I've got a great deal for you on that.

By: yogiman on 5/16/13 at 5:32

And by the way, Loner, if I'm wrong on those Muslims he has on his White House staff, I'll give this site back to you and your buddies so you can admire Mr. Usurper all you wish.

By: yogiman on 5/16/13 at 5:48

An interesting article about a book written 50 years ago, Loner.

By: yogiman on 5/16/13 at 5:49

Daylight now. Much to do. Have fun.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 5:53

Yes sir, Yogi, when us Communist Muslims take over and declare Sharia and Martial Law across the fruited plain....heads will roll, literally, not figuratively....we'll mount your head atop a Porta-Potty at one of our Islamic-Communistic rallies.....Ollie Ach Bar....it's full Jihad.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 6:04

An un-sourced article in an obscure Egyptian magazine is the source of the Islamophobia concerning Muslims working for the US federal government that Yogi schlepped in here.

Here's one source that details the un-sourced and spurious accusations:

Of course, the fact that the US federal government has dozens of Israelis and pro-Israel American Jews working at the highest levels in the federal government is never mentioned in the US media....but a handful of Muslim advisers has set off all kinds of alarms....this is pure Islamophobia.....Pro-Israeli elements probably supplied the information and the spin for that "Egyptian" article.....they are a clever people....too clever.

By: BenDover on 5/16/13 at 6:16

7:15a and feces abound.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 6:18

The Nazis made their government "Judenfrei", or free of Jews..."Jew-free"....then they tried to render their whole nation Judenfrei...after that, they attempted to make Europe Judenfrei.

Today, in the USA, there are elements in our society that would render the USA Muslim-free....no more Muslims....not in government.....not anywhere.....Raus!

No, I don't think that concentration camps and gas chambers are coming...but mass deportations could be just over the horizon....especially if the Republicans regain the White House and the Tea Party sets US policy....scapegoating the Muslims is their modus operandi....their ticket to power.....and their are millions of Yogi-types out there who will vote for them.

By: BenDover on 5/16/13 at 6:24

"but when one is the chief, one is responsible for the actions of the entire tribe and for the actions of every member within the tribe....the chief blew it. "

Why is it that Obama gets to distance himself and be the one who decides, "whose ass to kick"? Most times doesn't an investigation start with suspects who benefited most from the crimes?

This being the same political machine that releases sealed divorce records on its opponents, bribes people like Rev. Wright to stay quiet, shakes down companies like Gibson and Boeing who don't play ball, launders public hand-outs to green companies like Solyndra back in through campaign donations, buried the facts of the matter in a terrorist attack on our embassy for political gain... why would we even consider that they are above reproach and not culpable in such shenanigans as these?

By: BenDover on 5/16/13 at 6:29

If you pay attention to what is going on in Western Europe you'll understand the concerns about unchecked multi-culturalism loner.

The U.S., never to let the failures of a flawed ideology get in the way, ignores that the conservatives and liberals alike in Western Europe all now say it was a failed social experiment.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 6:33

Godly men, like Jimmy Swaggart are leading the crusade against Islam in America. I listened to one of his tirades on a Christian radio program last week....oh yeah, guys like that would go for a Muslim-free America....he called for no new mosques in the USA, investigating the existing ones, deporting all Islamic students studying here, no more new Muslim immigrants entering the country....just for starters.

This is nothing new...this has been ongoing since September, 11, 2001. Here's a good source on this:

By: govskeptic on 5/16/13 at 6:39

The heat was on and since the President has boosted so often and acted so
little an Acting Commissioner had to go. More should be fired as well, of course,
there's a problem with that, as they might start talking thus sending the truer story
of why these actions took place too far up the chain of authority.

It is hoped this riddance within the IRS will act as a firewall, so the press will
come back into the fold and stop the coverage on this and the other 4 scandals.
How can a man possibly play his best golf and vacation planning with all this
buzzing around him.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 6:45

Ben...we have common ground...you wrote: "The U.S., never to let the failures of a flawed ideology get in the way, ignores that the conservatives and liberals alike in Western Europe all now say it was a failed social experiment."

I agree, the US should recognize that apartheid Zionism in partitioned Palestine is a failed social experiment....that colossal failure is what generated and continues to generate anti-US animosity in the Muslim world....they hate us, because we arm, bankroll and defend their oppressor....the nuclear-scofflaw apartheid Jewish state.

Partitioning Palestine picked the scab on an old wound. Blood immediately began to flow in the Holy Land.

The United Nations reawakened a sleeping monster, the spirit of the Great Crusades, after centuries of dormancy. In the nuclear age, this is mass hysteria of the worst sort.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 6:48

The Rasp is also against, "unchecked multi-culturalism", Ben....you two are soulmates?

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 6:48

So, yogi was proven wrong and ran off. About damn time.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 6:50

The maelstrom over the revelation that the IRS targeted anti-tax Tea Party groups applying for tax exempt status for scrutiny is showing no signs of slowing down, with Republicans seeing their chance to milk a scandal for political purposes. But while the politics is heating up, some important context is emerging, like the fact that liberal groups were targeted as well, and in fact the only group to have its application denied was a liberal group.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 6:51

Before the IRS harassed the Tea Party, it harassed gay rights groups

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 6:52

The Big Mama Rag case was about 501(c)3 tax status, the Tea Party scandal is about 501(c)4 social welfare organizations, but the original sin is the same: The standards for deciding whether a 501(c)4 is engaging in excessive political activity are impossibly vague, which inevitably assigns too much latitude to IRS staff to use their instincts and judgment. They are allowed to engage in political activity, but not as a “primary” activity. Which means the IRS has to decide what counts as political activity, and what counts as primary. As Brad Plumer notes here, the IRS itself calls this a “facts and circumstances” decision, which a whole range of factors are to be weighed against each other. “Politics is not an exact science,” the IRS’s own guidelines say, understating things.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 7:02

Thanks for that link, Bn....once again, "fair & balanced" is unfair and unbalanced.

If one used FOX News as their sole information source, one would get the impression that BHO is about to be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors....the word, "scandal" is being freely bantered about in the right-wing and Christian media....their hatred for this black President is palpable....it appears that their primary mission is to destroy his presidency...it's gonna get uglier....and meaner.....and more ludicrous.

May God preserve our President and his family from harm.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 7:06

Excellent comments, Bn...credible and thought-provoking links too.

So, it's that judgment call that is being called into question....that's the nuts & bolts of it...I did not fully understand what the flap was all about.....now I do, thanks to your research.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 7:08

The tax codes are way too complicated and loop-hole filled....there has to be a better way...but what to do?.....that would be above my pay grade.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 7:10

Sure thing. I think it's the job of the IRS to be strict when it comes to approving who is exempt from paying taxes. And this shows that the whole brouhaha about Tea Party groups being targeted is simply false.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 7:11

I'm getting "visit Israel" ads on my screen for this page....web crawlers are sniffing around for the mention of the word, apparently....what a world!

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 7:11

There is no grand conspiracy.

By: Captain Nemo on 5/16/13 at 7:12

What was the motivation for the IRS probe, since they are not under the White House control?

Loner, as for yogi… with head up his ass and hiding in is closet, it is a wonder the relic is still alive.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 7:14

Nemo, more GOP "scandal" accusations.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 7:15

Buggery on the high seas? Stevens walked the plank....but will the crew mutiny? Aaaaarrr.....Cap'n Obama may have to flog another scurvy dog....Aaaaarrr!

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 7:18

Steven Miller...that is....Aaaaarr, got me damn names all buggered....Miller walked the plank....who'll be next to feed the fishes? Hoist the Jolly Roger!

By: BenDover on 5/16/13 at 7:19

Seems they've thrown a few bones to the ever-faithful. The echo-chamber will soon become deafening.

By: Captain Nemo on 5/16/13 at 7:20

Thanks for the link, Blanket.

I suspect that this is just a continuations from the first term to remove President Obama, from office. The Tea Party and their stooge group, (Republican Party) only care about their hate of Obama.

By: Blanketnazi2 on 5/16/13 at 7:20

Who, Ben? Fox?

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 7:23

Ben, get out of the echo chamber....your ears will ring for a while....but that will eventually subside.

By: Captain Nemo on 5/16/13 at 7:24

yogi it looks as if I will be in your neighborhood all week. How about lunch, maybe dinner or breakfast ?

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 7:30

The Tea Party base of the GOP could not beat Obama at the polls....now, they'll go with another tactic: the scandal scheme....if not impeachment, then besmirch the man's legacy...it's the politics of personal attack and character assassination.....it's hate-based obstructionism.

This is what the Party of Lincoln has degenerated into.

By: Jughead on 5/16/13 at 7:30

Buenos dias, damas.

By: Jughead on 5/16/13 at 7:31

Obama is criminal who should be impeached and hung.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 7:32

Did you mean, "well hung", Jugs?

By: Captain Nemo on 5/16/13 at 7:36

With a mouth full of Balls, it is hard to understand the minor troll. Perhaps he has a rimmed (sic) mustache like yogi.

By: Jughead on 5/16/13 at 7:38

You ladies are so catty this morning! Liberal white males can be so mean when it is that time of the month.

By: Loner on 5/16/13 at 7:39

You gotta give Jugs credit where credit is due...he's a troll, for sure, just wants to instigate trouble....but, he managed to mock out Hispanics, (using Google Translator) and question our manhood with just four words...that's a xenophobic-homophobic gem.

By: Captain Nemo on 5/16/13 at 7:39

Why bother with impeachment, just hang him.

Bubba Balls-

By: Jughead on 5/16/13 at 7:39

Liberal white males are spineless wussies.

By: Jughead on 5/16/13 at 7:40

No trouble, just voicing the truth about liberals. Pathetic losers.
